"I was told I could transfer my policy to another state. I called in before I moved. After moving, I found out the policy couldn’t be transferred because of significant state difference. Calling in today I was now informed I couldn’t cancel the Maryland Policy until the plates were returned even though I called in and talked to State Farm on 7/3 (informing of move and requesting process), and 7/23 making sure it wouldn’t be an issue. Now I’m being charged for two insurances for one car, that is now registered in the state of Florida, not Maryland—but can’t cancel the Maryland Insurance."
